Message	allows for about 10-15% adjustment off of the base map if I remember it correctly. So the auto-tune is dependent upon a proper tuned base map. I don't use closed loop for top end under high boost. Most tuners on haltech forum don't use it either. You can play with idle, low end and even some mid-range, but you want to set a simple reliable tune on the dyno and forget about it. You don't really want to mess with it or let the computer mess with it. The closed-loop is not a fail-safe feature IMO.
